just a reeaal nyce surprise

Greg and I finally had time to do Christmas-y things this weekend. Note: watching Elf + eating puppy chow equals trying not to choke on powdered sugar while gasping in between laughs. Then, we downed Starbucks hot chocolate and started our pursuit of great Christmas lights.

Now let me just tell those of you who don't know, Christmas lights were a BIG deal at my house growing up. Dad would spend hours in the trees trying to wrap the lights as tight as possible and we would mock the net-users. Then, after finishing each year, we would stand back and make notes for the following year about what we could do to make our house look more like the Griswald's (by the way, I think my Dad is the only person in the world who could make notes and actually find them an entire year later). Anyway, we've been offered the neighborhood award several times (and turned it down due to reasons I won't go into now, haha). So, all I'm trying to say is that I appreciate good Christmas lights when I find them.

Well, thanks to a tip from a co-workers of Greg's, we stumbled upon a true gem. This guy rigs up crazy lights to his, and 6 of his neighbors, houses and choreographs all of the lights to music. He has it set up so that you can tune your radio to a specific station to hear the music and he controls it all from his computer! He does it to lots of songs, and incorporates the lights from all the houses in the cul-de-sac. I've seen videos of this stuff, but it was incredible to watch it in person.

(I've been trying to upload my video of it but it keeps failing.)

I cannot even tell you how much I appreciate the title of this post. So much love I can't handle it.
